PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

What a chilly winter's morning! I hope you have all settled into remote learning again and all is going smoothly. As you are aware the lockdown has been extended until Tuesday 27th July at 11.59 pm, hopefully, we will see all back at school on Wednesday 28th July.

I urge all parents to remember that if there is a parent working in the home then the child stays home for remote learning.  Most of our parents are working from home and are also supporting their children with their remote learning at the same time.  We appreciate the difficulties this presents for families and thank you for the great job you are doing. It is precisely this type of responsible action that will contribute to keeping our community safe.

The point of lockdown is to eliminate people coming together as much as possible to avoid the potential of germs/COVID being spread.

We thank all the essential workers who enable the daily needs and requirements to be met.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

These will still take place next week, however will need to move to an online format. Teachers will send a google meet link prior to your child/ren’s interview time.

Mary & Bridget Social Justice Group

Maryanne, Oliver, Evie and Jobe made a special presentation on behalf of the Mary and Bridget Social Justice Group. The children presented blankets to Julie King who works at WAW Credit Union in Beechworth. WAW collect blankets to donate to the ABC Goulburn Murray Uniting Care Winter Blanket Appeal. The Bridget and Mary Group have been selling icy poles every Friday this year in order to raise money for charity. This charity is helping people stay warm in winter and our Group is happy knowing that all their hard work is going to a good cause. The Mary and Bridget Group also made a donation towards the Blanket appeal.
