St Anne & St Joachim's Feast Day / Grandparents Day

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we are unable to host our St Anne and St Joachim Feast Day Mass and Grandparents Day breakfast. 

Instead, on Monday 26th July, we will share a video to celebrate. 

First Holy Communion

At this stage the Sacrament of First Holy Communion is postponed

and more information will be provided as soon as possible. 

 

Christmas Art Competition 

Stage 3 students are encouraged to draw/paint an artwork on canvas based on one of the following Gospel passages. Entries are due on Tuesday, 5 October to Friday, 8 October 2021.

Year 5: 

‘Journey to Bethlehem’ Luke 2: 3-5 

‘Prepare the Way’ Isaiah 40: 3-5 

‘The Birth of Jesus and the Visit of the Shepherds’ Luke 2: 9-14 

‘The Birth of Jesus and Visit of the Magi’ Matthew 1: 18-25, Matthew 2: 9-12 

Year 6: 

‘Journey to Bethlehem’ Luke 2: 3-5 

‘The Annunciation’ Luke 1: 26-36 

‘The Flight to Egypt’ Matthew 2: 13-15 

‘The Birth of Jesus and Visit of the Magi’ Matthew 1: 18-25, Matthew 2: 9-12.

 

First, Second, and Third Prizes will be awarded for both Year 5 and Year 6

First Prize: $400 of artist’s studio quality equipment and book prize. 

Second Prize: $200 of artist’s studio quality equipment and book prize. 

Third Prize: $100 of artist’s studio quality equipment and book prize. 

A special Archbishop’s Choice Trophy and Prize will be awarded as well as the Executive Director’s Trophy and awards of High Commendation.

   Ignite Conference 2021- Registrations now open!!!

It is with great pleasure that we announce that registrations are now open and with some very generous subsidies to encourage attendance this year.

With no WYD or Australian Catholic Youth Festival, this is the ticket event of the year!

 

Date: Wednesday 29th September to Saturday 2nd October 2021 

(Term 3 school holidays – long weekend)

Location: Freeman Catholic College (Mount Street, Bonnyrigg Heights)

Age: The conference is open to students and staff from Primary and Secondary schools (Other family members are welcome but will not receive SCS subsidies).

For Primary school students (Ignite Kids program)

$25 (subsidised cost, full price ticket usually $100).

SCS is subsidising the cost for the first 100 students who register 

so that they only pay $50. 

After that, a 50% subsidy will be applied and students will pay $130.

Note: Cost includes all meals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday including lunch, dinner, morning/afternoon tea packs. Cost does not include dinner on Wednesday night, however, food will be available for purchase.
