SPORTING SCHOOLS GRANT

Our Term 3 Sporting Schools Grant for Tennis has been approved. We have acquired Gunnedah Tennis Coach Dale Martin for a 6 week program commencing on Wednesday 4th August. There will be 2 sessions - K/1/2 and Yr 3-6. The school has tennis racquets, however if students wish to bring their own they are most welcome.

SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Our Annual School Athletics Carnival has been set down for Wednesday 28th July at Jubilee Oval (Week 3). The Diocesan Athletics Carnival will be held in Tamworth on Friday 13th August.

As per COVID-19 Update & Sport letter from ADPSC all sporting events held during school hours, whether at school or a community facility, will be required to adhere to the following guidelines;

No spectators are permitted.
An ‘essential adult’ in attendance is considered essential to the delivery of the sporting event or pathway opportunity. An example of this would be a selector, a development officer, a referee/umpire, a parent/carer of a student with disability or medical concern. All essential adults will be approved by the School and/or CSO Sport Coordinator prior to the event.
All ‘essential adults’ in attendance will be required to wear a mask, sign in using the Service NSW QR code and maintain social distancing.
Any family member that has travelled during the recent holiday period should ensure that they are aware of any NSW Health requirements on return.
If unwell or showing any COVID like symptoms please do not attend.
Please keep student mingling to a minimum.

Canteen will still be in operation for the students and staff with sausage sandwiches available to pre-order for $2.50. Drinks, confectionary and icy tubes will also be available to purchase on the day.

As we did last year, we will be holding the High Jump events at school in Week 2 during lunch break at 1:15pm.

Friday 23 July ~ Minors

Students will have the opportunity to practice the High Jump on Friday 16 July during sport time.

A permission note for the carnival will be placed on Compass before Friday this week.

All school sport guidelines have always been, and will continue to be guided by the NSW Health advice. Updates will be provided as they become available.
