University of Canberra visit to MCC
A large number of Year 11 & 12 students attended a lunchtime session to find out about courses, offers, early entries and adjustment factors from Future Student staff. Campus life and scholarships were also addressed.
Western Riverina Careers Expo
Year 11 students were given the opportunity to explore courses,trades and careers at a well organised and informative expo held at Leeton High School and TAFE sites. University and other higher education reps were on hand to answer questions, while TAFE provided interactive displays.
Youth Engagement Strategy Program
A selected group of Year 10 students were given the opportunity to try out TAFE construction and welding courses, one day a week for 4 weeks.
State Training Awards
Marian catholic College was proud to have two students finalists in the State Training Awards held 10 June 2021. Congratulations to Emily Careri finalist in TVET Hair and Beauty and Cansu Avder finalist SBAT.
2021 Country to Canberra Leadership Competition
Australia Country to Canberra’s annual Leadership Competition is open now! We are excited to open our 2021 Leadership Competition Question, and encourage all eligible rural women and non-binary students to respond for the chance to win an all expenses paid Power Trip to Canberra. UAC Applications Open April 1
Applications for study at uni in 2022 are opening this Thursday 1 April. Students will be able to apply for undergraduate study as well as Schools Recommendation Schemes, Educational Access Schemes and Equity Scholarships.
Although not all courses for 2022 will be available, students are encouraged to choose any 2022 course to complete their application and come back later to review and change their preferences as courses come available. All semester 1, 2022 courses will be available from August.
On time applications will close at midnight on Thursday 30 September and Schools Recommendation Schemes will close on Sunday 19 September.

WHITE CARD - WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Interested Year 10 students were able to attend one of two White Card courses held at MCC on March 17 and March 23. All students successfully gained the qualification and learnt about safety in the workplace and the use of PPE in a hands-on session. the students are able to complete work experience on construction sites in many trade areas.
