Congratulations to Ellie Tomazin who is our School Sports Captain for 2017. I know that her enthusiasm and love of sport will help drive sport this year. Ellie introduced herself at the School Assembly last week and I would like to reinforce that students who have a question or suggestion please see Ellie or Mr Potter.
The year has started very well with record numbers of students signing up for the various Term 1 sports that are available for participation. Well done to the senior students as they find the balance between sport and study and to the new Year 7s who are jumping into sport with both feet.
We need to be aware that all sport dates are on Compass and that permission forms with payment need to be returned to the General Office as soon as possible, at the latest the week before the event. This will assist in confirming the numbers of teams competing and the organisation of umpires and venues.
A highlight of Term 1 will be the Whole School Athletics Day to be held at the Knox Athletics Track on Thursday 16th March. It was a great day last year and we are looking to make it bigger and better this year. It will again be based on a House Competition with lots of activities outside the normal athletic competition.
