Read, Write, Research, Relax
The Fairhills Library & Resource Centre is located in the centre of the school and provides a welcoming and collaborative information and learning space for all to use.
Staffed by qualified professionals at all times, the library provides a wide range of resources, services and technologies to satisfy the Curriculum and recreational needs of the students.
During class time, classes and private study, students visit the Library to research, read and use the computers.
During lunchtime, students are welcome to study, read from fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel & magazine collections, as well as play Board/Card games with friends.
Library staff work closely with the school's English & Literacy teachers to support the Fairhills Reading Program for Years 7 & 8, as well as the Premiers' Reading Challenge.
Trolleys, tubs of books are regularly supplied to the classrooms so reading becomes part of daily classes.
Students may borrow up to 4 items from the library for a period of two weeks (2 fiction, 2 non-fiction).

Mon - Thursday 8.30am to 4.00pm
Friday 8.30am to 3.45pm
Closed at recess
Open lunchtimes
- 1st half for Senior/VCE Private study
- 2nd half for all students
