BUDDY PROGRAM

This year we have 12 local students and 10 new ISP students participated in the Buddy program on 21st November. The girls had great fun playing games and having lunch together. It made our new international students feel being welcomed and supported, which increased their sense of belonging before coming to Melbourne Girls’ College. We would like to thank all the buddies for having been so supportive, friendly and open to our new international students. We hope that many friendships will be formed and maintained through this program.   

The Buddy Program would not have been possible without the strong support of all teachers and students. The International Student Division would like to extend our gratitude for everyone’s support. Special thanks to Ms. Tellefson, Ms. Hanley, M.s Allen and Ms. Robertson who introduced the program to the local students and encouraged them to take part in.

Presentation Night

It is the first time that our international students were invited to present their culture on the Presentation Night. A big thank to Eva CHEN and Sylvia WEI, who has spent much time on rehearing and practicing for the event. Special thanks to Ms Wong for her professional instruction.

Congratulations to Jillian LI, Adriti METHA, Michelle CHENG, Eva CHEN who achieved academic awards in different subjects and Anna CHEUNG who received the International Student Award. We were very proud of them and would like to acknowledge their subject teachers as well. Thank you to all of the teachers for their support, encouragement and dedication through the years.
