Senior School Report

Despite VCE and VCAL classes being finished, this is still a very busy time for Senior Students and staff. Year 11 and Year 12 examinations have been running smoothly and will conclude over the next few days.
Our Annual Year 12 Awards Night at the Clock Tower on Wednesday 14 October was a prestigious and inspiring event which showed just how talented so many of our students are. The evening was well attended and the guest speaker Ms Helen Smith AM - triple Olympian - gave an inspiring address on pathway in life. There were around 45 students who received awards on the evening, with the Dux of the School being awarded to Myers Nguyen. The VCAL Excellence Award went to Matthew Reyes, the Caltex Best All-Rounder Award went to Cylene Magri and the Long Tan Award was given to Eangano Singehebuye.
The Final Assembly for the Year 12 of 2015 on Wednesday 21/10/15 was a wonderful celebration of their time at the school. As always the costumes were scintillating and the dance was exciting.
Year 11s had their final assembly on Friday 30/11/15, and it was wonderful to see how many talented students received awards for their achievements in so many areas of endeavour.

The Year 12 Formal will be held at Lakeside Banquet and Convention Centre in Taylors Lakes on Wednesday 25 November and there is great enthusiasm and excitement about this with the students. This event marks the end of their exams and their last meeting together as our Year 12 students for this year.
Many thanks to the parents who contact us when their child is absent for any reason. This is of great assistance to the Year Level Coordinators, as we will call home regularly if there are any unexplained absences for your child. The Case Management process continues to monitor closely the attendance, achievement and individual needs of all our students.
