Year 11 VCAL Work Related Skills

Year 11 VCAL students are undertaking their 8 day work placement block with students placed at a number of different industries including trade, hospitality, retail and education. We wish them the best of luck.

During term 3 in Work Related Skills students had to plan organise and carry out a project that showed their communication, team work and organisational skills.

Different groups worked on a range of projects including:

  • Fund raising for the Cancer Council through selling merchandise and handmade cup cakes.
  • Handmade pizza sales that raised money for SASC Breakfast Club.
  • Inter class sport activities where students were introduced to new sports and taught the rules.
  • VCAL mural painted to be displayed in the foyer of Nindethana.

Personal Development Skills

Students attended and excursion to Melbourne CBD on Wednesday 28 October for a ‘Race around the City’.

A Great Race type activity where students in teams, work out written and visual clues to find different landmarks around the city of Melbourne. Although very tired students reported a great time was had by all. Thank you to the Smith Family for their preparation of the activity and Mr Lakovski and Mr Faulkner for organising the excursion for the students.
