Year 9 Poetry – Myron Lysenko

The poet Myron Lysenko conducted poetry writing workshops with some of the Year 9 students on Wednesday 28 November This is the first time the newly refurbished library has been used as a performance space. The shelving can now be moved around on castors to easily open up a large space suitable for multiple classes.

As usual, Myron was able to engage all students with his demonstrations of various forms of poetry, including songs and rap. His writing activities prompt students to develop their skills. This visit ties in perfectly with the English curriculum and makes learning fun.
