Junior Boys Cricket Report
On Thursday, the 19th of October, the Year 8 boys cricket team made their way to Mt. Carberry Reserve to play against Kurunjang Secondary College. Students were coached and supported by Mr. Singh, Mr. Jenkins, Ms. Eckel and Year 9 student Joel Mitchener. The boys batted first and made 114, which was a great effort in the humid conditions.
They just missed a victory against Kurunjang but showed great school spirit and sportsmanship. Well done and good luck for your next game.
Ms. ECKEL
It was a nail-biter of a finish with Kurunjang taking the win with only 3 balls to go. The boys gave it their all up until the end with great batting from the openers Riley and Jacob to get the ball rolling, and Nathan piling up the tally towards the end of the 1st innings. Special mentions to Braedon top scoring with 48 runs and some great bowling from Zain with two straight wickets. Good luck to the boys on their next game against Sunbury College hopefully they come back with the win.

Riley and Jacob opened our batting and got us off to a great start. There was some good late batting from Nathan who hit us a few quick runs. Zain bowled really well and took 2 wickets! We worked really hard in the field but fell just short of the win. We are looking forward to an even better performance in our next round against Sunbury.
