A Reminder....
Level Crossing Removal
As you are aware, the Level Crossing Removal Authority is undertaking construction works in 2016 to remove the level crossings on: North Road, Ormond; McKinnon Road, McKinnon; and, Centre Road, Bentleigh. Please note the following important changes to transport to and parking around the School.
No Trains - 37 day Period
From 24 June to 1 August (37 days), there will be significant works to excavate the rail line and start building the new Ormond, McKinnon and Bentleigh stations.
From 9.00pm Friday 24 June to the last service on Sunday 31 July, there will be no trains between Moorabbin and Caulfield and students will need to take the train replacement bus from Moorabbin and Caulfield stations and get off at the Walsh Street bus stop. The Glenhuntly Station option will no longer be available during this period.
Replacement Buses
A. Morning - Travelling south to Kilvington
Students will be dropped off on the east side of Grange Road and Walsh Street. They are strongly urged to walk to the corner of Grange Road and North Road, cross at the pedestrian lights then walk along North Road and turn right into Lillimur Road and travel north to Leila Road. The distance is 1km and will take approximately 10 minutes to walk.
Afternoon – Travelling north to Home
Students will be picked up on the west side of Grange Road and Walsh Street. They are to walk from School along Leila Road, turn right into Grange Road and head south to the replacement bus stop at Walsh Street. The distance is 550m and will take approximately five minutes to walk.
B. Morning - Travelling north to Kilvington
Students will be dropped off at the replacement bus stop on the west side of Grange Road and Walsh Street. They are to walk along Grange Road to Leila Road, turn left into Leila Road and walk the remaining distance to School. The distance is 550m and will take approximately five minutes to walk.
Afternoon – Travelling south to Home
Students will be picked up on the east side of Grange Road and Walsh Street. They are strongly urged to walk along Lillimur Road to North Road, turn left into North Road and walk to the corner of Grange Road and North Road, cross at the pedestrian lights and then walk along Grange Road to the replacement bus stop at Walsh Street. The distance is 1km and will take approximately 10 minutes to walk.
The Level Crossing Project Team will have customer service staff at the Walsh Street drop off and pick up points and direct students for the whole period from Friday 24 June to Sunday 31 July during school hours. Please reiterate the importance that your children follow their instructions and the above options.
Parking
During the period from 24 June to 1 August, there will be no parking on Katandra Road between Wattle Ave and North Road. During this time, trucks will travel along Katandra Road to North Road, with a high volume during the school holiday period.
From Tuesday, 12 July, the parking will be reinstated along Katandra Road between Oakleigh Road and Leila Road only. Traffic will be one way from Wattle Road to North Road along Katandra Road (north to south). Please be aware that trucks will continue to travel along Katandra Road, albeit in lower volumes, and to take particular care when parking, turning into traffic and guiding children into School. Truck drivers have been briefed to take particular care when travelling past the School.
We are working closely with the Level Crossing Project Management Team to minimise the disruption and ensure the safety of our School community. Please assist by taking extra care and remaining vigilant when driving and parking around the School.

Lock Your Cars
We have been encouraged by the Caulfield Police Station to remain vigilant when leaving your vehicles parked in the area. Please ensure that you remove all valuables and lock your vehicle. This applies to parking in your gated driveway.
