Secondary News

Richard Clark
Parent, Student and Teacher interviews were held in the first week of term and many meaningful conversations were conducted to celebrate achievement over Semester One and to set goals for learning in Semester Two. If any parents were unable to attend on the evening I encourage you to make contact with your child’s teachers to make an alternative time to conduct these important conversations.
The Secondary Athletics Carnival was held on Friday 22nd July. The students competed with enthusiasm and determination and many excellent results were achieved. Congratulations to our Age Champions and to McAuley for winning the carnival. The smooth running of the carnival was thanks to the many parents who helped out on the day and to the organisation and enthusiasm of Miss Anna Reed. Competitors who qualified will compete at the Diocesan Athletics Carnival on Friday 12th August at O'Connor Catholic College, Armidale.
At the change of semester we also change our SRC representatives. My thanks to the Semester One representatives for their hard work and efforts in meeting regularly and organising the events that took place, including this week's Social. Congratulations to those students that have been chosen to represent their fellow students for Semester Two. The SRC would not be possible without the hard work of Miss Gardiner who meets regularly with the students.
