 Well Done!

AMAZING EFFORTS @ Division XC

We’d like to congratulate our five students that participated in the Beachside Division Cross Country this week on Tuesday, with all our runners performing extremely well. Our Beachside Division has always fielded some super strong competitors, so to come top 20 here is a massive achievement.  Unfortunately Angus H (11 Boys) was too unwell to run so missed out on racing that day;  however due to Angus’ XC track record in & out of school, we have applied and already been granted an invite for him to attend the next level; SMR Regionals; which is exciting news for our super keen XC runner!

Congratulations again to our 5 runners and their amazing performances.  We’d also like to thank all parents that took their child to Bald Hill Park on Tuesday and supported them during the event.

Here’s our 5 super outcomes:

Charlie P (4A): 9/10 Boys 2km race: 18th place

Max A (4M): 9/10 Boys 2km race: 22nd place

Dane G (5H): 11 Boys 3km race: 19th place

Charlotte C (5T): 11 Girls 3km race: 11th place

Evie G (5T): 11 Girls 3km race: 22nd place

SPORTS LEADERS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Over the past two weeks a number of our Year 6 Sports Leaders from Marian & Finbar Houses (Nick L, Alex J, Ellyse K, Neve B, Flynn M, Ali E) have been busy-bee’s organising and running a fun 5v5 Basketball tournament for any keen Year 3 & 4 students.  Our Sports Leaders created sign-up sheets, devised team lists, promoted the game times and then helped coordinate and ref these games.  It’s been a great learning opportunity for them.  Congratulations to Team 1 & Team 3 that have made the final, which is set to be played on Wednesday in our final week of this term.
