Gospel of the Week

Every Monday, all classes learn about the Sunday Gospel during their class prayer time. Over the past few weeks the students have covered many important biblical events; The Ascension of the Lord, Pentecost and this coming week the students will be learning about the Most Holy Trinity. To support this learning, each Friday we will discuss the Gospel at assembly and gather the thoughts of the students.

Below you will find a Gospel Reflection on next weeks Gospel (The Most Holy Trinity). We encourage you and your family to look at this and prepare the students for the learning in class next week.

We see this as a great opportunity to celebrate a Faith as a community.

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

The St Vincent de Paul winter appeal is ticking along nicely and it has been awesome to see classroom prayer spaces being filled with goods to donate to the pantry over at the Church. Here is a general reminder of items we are after:

Gospel Reflection - Sunday 4th June

Gospel Reading

John 3:16-18

God sent his Son into the world to save the world.

Family Connection

Because of God’s great love for us, he sent his Son, Jesus, to save the world. Jesus, in turn, sent the Holy Spirit so that our faith in God and his love would be strengthened. The nurturing experiences of family life also help us to understand and have faith in God’s love.

Create a family poster together showing all the ways in which your family experiences God’s great love. Use symbols, pictures, and words to show how you have seen God at work in your family life and in our history. Then read together today’s Gospel, John 3:16-18. Pray together, thanking God for his gift of love. Conclude by praying the Glory Be to the Father or today’s Psalm.

Thanks
