Welcome to New Oxley Staff

Emma Chan

Senior School Teacher

I am a firm believer of “The content of a book holds the power of education, and it is with this power that we can shape our future and change lives.” Malala Yousafzai

I am delighted to be embarking on this literary journey with the students and exploring the nuances of English language. I love to read different kinds of literature, particularly Literary journalism and Gothic fiction.

As well as being an English teacher, I am a dedicated chauffeur to my three-year-old toddler in the afternoon. Having worked in Singapore and Japan, I am able to converse in Chinese and Japanese as well.

I am so excited to be part of the Oxley teaching staff and the Oxley community again! I am a previous student at the College, and after completing my double Bachelor’s Degree at Monash University, I have returned to teach English and German. I am looking forward to seeing you all in the classroom to say ‘Guten Tag!’ or ‘Good Afternoon!’. Outside work I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.

Hello from the newest member of the Oxley Art faculty. Having been a keen Art and Visual Communication Design student here back in the day, it’s lovely to walk through those familiar doors again and welcome this year's students into my Art, Photography and Ceramics classes.

When I'm not at school, I have three young children who keep me very busy (and tired). We love getting outside and enjoy family bike rides, picnics and camping trips, but when we’re stuck inside with the Melbourne rain, we love getting our craft on – despite Dad’s protests about the mess and glitter all over the house!

Junior School Teacher

Hello! I am delighted to be joining the Year 4 team at Oxley! My first few weeks at the College have been a blessing as I have begun to meet staff and students. I studied a Bachelor of Primary Education and Music at Monash University.

When I’m not teaching, I love going for long walks, drinking tea and spending time with my family!

Marketing & Development Officer

Salutations! I feel blessed to be able to join the Oxley Community. I am excited to use my communications knowledge and expertise to spread the word of our school to those seeking quality Christian education.

Professionally, I have a passion for brand development, whereas in my free time, I enjoy baking and playing video games with my husband. We also have one incredibly spoilt cat who thinks she has two personal butlers!
