Councils receiving requests from "Council Watch"

It has come to our attention that there is an organisation known as Council Watch which is making FOI requests to numerous (if not all) Victorian municipal councils.

That organisation also has a Facebook page which recently included a link to our associated business, FOI Support.  Unless the Facebook page is read carefully, there is an unfortunate and incorrect implication that FOI Solutions and/or FOI Support provides legal or other assistance to Council Watch.  

We wish to categorically state that FOI Solutions and FOI Support only provide assistance to government agencies, including councils.  We reassure our clients that we are not providing any assistance and have no connection or affiliation to Council Watch (other than by way of advising some of our council clients about FOI requests they have received from that body).

 Just to remind those of your who are not aware, FOI Support is an Administrative Consulting business established by Mick Batskos to provide administrative consulting services to councils and other government clients needing assistance with all aspects of processing FOI requests.  For more information, click here.

On the other hand, FOI Solutions is a law firm established by Mick Batskos 25 years ago to provide specialist legal services only to government agency clients, including to councils, statutory authorities and government departments.
