Cebula Boarding
Boarding News
There’s been much excitement in the Cebula boarding house with the long weekend providing a welcome mid-term break for the boys.
We’ve had a busy few weeks with the Athletics Carnival, Invite a Day Boy to Boarding Weekend as well as exams and work experience for our Year 11s and 12s.
The spirit and camaraderie for which Cebula is well known was out in force at the Athletics Carnival, with the boys participating so well on the day. As the smallest House, filling events is always a challenge, but they were magnificent in ensuring that Cebula was well represented. The senior boys relay win was a definite highlight, but overall, the whole day was sensational. Well done to our Cebula Captain, Julian, for his leadership, and to all the senior boys who assisted him so well.
The Invite a Day Boy to Boarding Weekend held as part of National Boarding Week, saw 22 Day Boys get a taste of residential life – a few enjoyed it so much they stayed till Monday! It was great for the boys to host their friends and share a little of their boarding experience.
We ended National Boarding Week with a joint Mass and Dinner with St Brigid’s Boarding girls and staff.
Mr Harvey and I, along with the Principal and Head of Boarding from St Brigid’s, will be visiting the Northwest and Pilbara from June 12 -17. We’re very much looking forward to catching up with our current families and Old Boys as well as sharing a little about Mazenod Boarding with prospective families.
