What we've been up to...

National Chaplaincy Week

May 21-28, 2023, is National Chaplaincy Week.

It is a week to raise awareness of the value of our school chaplains and acknowledge the great work they do within our school community.

RNSS is lucky enough to have Chappy Jayden here 3 days a week.

Thank you for all the work you do at our school Chappy!

Donation

Thank you Peries IGA Dean St for donating some sausages to our Senior Secondary work experience students.

Our seniors cooked them up for the whole school in Week 4.

Do it for Dolly Day

Upper Primary students participated in Do it for Dolly Day on Friday 12 May.

We discussed bullying and kindness and decided that we need to be kind to everyone. We wrote words to describe kindness including care, manners, brave, are you ok?, talk friendly and friends.

We coloured in pictures that showed how to act if we are bullied. We wore blue butterflies as blue was Dolly’s favourite colour.

Well done Upper Primary.

P&C Day

Thank you to our P&C members for everything you do for RNSS! We appreciate you!

The Rockhampton Grammar School

Each Wednesday, some year 12 Boarders from The Rockhampton Grammar School will be visiting our school & assisting in classrooms with activities for a couple of hours, then joining students on the oval at second break. They are wishing to expose themselves to multiple opportunities within the community and build a new partnership.

We look forward to having you with us each week!

Thank you to Chappy Jayden for organising it!

Life Education

Our students have been participating in Life Education lessons with Liz over the past week. Liz is here for 2 weeks.

ROMP in the Park

Bel, Kate & Troy attended ROMP in the Park last Friday to showcase our school.  It was a fantastic day!  Thank you for having us!

Fire Brigade Visit

On Monday Lower Primary had a visit from the Fire Brigade.  They had so much fun!
