Principal's Message

Nurture.  Innovate.  Celebrate

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

FINAL TERM 3 DISCOVERY TRANSITION SESSION

Yesterday, we had our final Discovery session for 2021. During these current circumstances it was really lovely to see so many Kindergarten students with big smiles on their faces, all ready to listen to a story and learn how to draw a fish.

We started our session with reading a great book called ‘The Rainbow Fish’. It amazed us how well all of the kindergarten students were so respectful and listened very carefully to the story. We then discussed how the rainbow fish shared his scales and that made him and his friends very happy.

We were very lucky to have our wonderful Art teacher Miss Luks join us for our Discovery session. She taught the kindergarten students step by step, how to draw a detailed fish. They all really enjoyed trying their best to draw a fish and what can we say they did an awesome job. They then had to collect different items at home that they can use to decorate their fish. Some chose foil, colourful pencils and others even chose some leaves to make the ocean.

By this session the Foundation teachers had noticed the immense growth in the kindergarten students self-confidence since our first Discovery session. This was evident with all of the questions they had about fish and how they swim.

Thank you and well done to all of the amazing kindergarten children and families who were able to join us over this term's Foundation Discovery sessions. We look forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new children an families for our Footsteps into Foundation Transition program in Term 4.

TODAY IS R U OK? DAY

This national day of action is dedicated to inspiring all people of all backgrounds to regularly ask each other 'Are you OK?'

It was great to see so many of our students, teachers and school community members wearing a ‘splash of yellow' to support this special day and show everyone that you are not alone and we are all in this together!

Together as a strong, supportive and happy community… We will be OK!

FINAL DAY OF TERM – EARLY DISMISSAL 1.30PM

It is hard to believe that the final day of Term 3 is next Friday 17th September! While this has been a challenging time, it has also been a very successful one in many ways.

As we normally do, it will be an early finish time of 1.30pm for students online and also for those students onsite.

I am sure we are looking forward to a well-earned break!

Take care and stay safe!

Kind regards,
