Results: Italian Poetry Competitions 2021

CIS Junior Italian Poetry Competition & Dante Alighieri Italian Poetry Competition

On Tuesday 22 June and on Wednesday 23rd June, students across Years 7 - 11 had the wonderful opportunity to participate in either the CIS Junior Italian Poetry Recitation Competition or the Dante Alighieri Italian Poetry Recitation Competition.  We had a total of 122 students taking part and judges from each of these competitions came to school to hear the students recite their chosen poem in Italian with a focus on memorisation, pronunciation and delivery with meaning. Recitation is a highly valuable experience in language learning and these competitions are an excellent way to enrich the study of Italian language and culture.

Results: Education Perfect Languages World Championships 2021

Buongiorno & Selamat Pagi Students, Parents and Staff,

Congratulations to all the participants in the Education Perfect Languages World Championships 2021. This world-wide Languages Championships was held from 16th - 23rd March 2021.

In this online competition, students competed and practiced their language skills in both Indonesia and Italian, with students in many countries all over the world. We came 11th overall in the world out of over 1894 schools; we came 1st overall for Indonesian out of 724 schools and 2nd overall for Italian out of 1068 schools. Another fabulous achievement!

In Australia we achieved 1st for Indonesian out of 561 schools and 2nd for Italian out of 779 schools. In Victoria, we achieved 1st for Indonesian out of 169 schools and 1st for Italian out of 212 schools. We achieved 36 Credit, 24 Bronze, 11 Silver, 10 Gold, 7 Emerald and 13 Elite Awards that being a total of 101 Awards for our students.
