Weekly Wellbeing

We made it!

The final pillar is the PERMAH Wellbeing Framework – Health.  Just a small topic!  As you can imagine, I could write about so many aspects of health:  sleep, exercise, the importance of leisure, healthy food choices etc, but instead I am going to share some resources.

Carol and I had the privilege of joining 1700 participants on the ‘Riding the Coronacoaster’ Webinar on Monday night, hosted by well-known Psychologist, Michael Carr Gregg and Teacher, Author and Speaker, Sharon Witt.  Here is the LINK to the recording and we highly recommend that you watch it.

Also, please find below some great FREE Workshops that are available through Maroondah on ‘Good Mood Food’, including an online cooking class.  See below for more information.

Just breathe!

There are so many things that we can’t control at the moment.  Something that will help to improve your mental health is focussing on what you can control.  One of these things is your breathing.  You are actually the only one who can control it!  Learning how to be more intentional about your breath can reduce stress and be life changing. Laugh!

There are so many benefits of laughing. See below to read more about the benefits. In this season of life, it is ok to find things funny (it’s actually helpful!), watch a video, tell some jokes, make funny faces at each other etc.

WWW (What’s Working Well?)

Lately I have been reminded that it is so easy to focus on what is not working, what we can’t do, who we can’t see.  Guess what?  This mindset breeds more of the same and has the potential to spiral us and others around us in a downward direction.

Just as it is ok (and helpful) to laugh, it is also helpful to think about what is working in our lives at the moment.  Does it take everything else away?  No, but it does help us to get a balance and maintain perspective.  Remember it has been scientifically proven that you can struggle and thrive at the same time.  Focussing on the good bits, helps us through the challenging times.

As always, please know that we are here for any support.  Please email or contact Carol Wyatt.
