Whole School Assembly tomorrow at 2:45pm

After a successful Assembly last Friday, tomorrow the School Captains will be hosting a Whole School Assembly at 2:45pm.  Please tune with your microphone muted and screen off.  The link and password will be circulated on Compass.

COVID-19, Onsite Attendance and Healthy Behaviours

Like all organisations and communities Croydon Hills Primary School is not immune to COVID-19.  As you’re all aware, last year we had a school closure as a result of a confirmed case in our community.

I would like to remind our community members of COVID-Safe behaviours:

  • Only children of authorised workers (all carers, not just one) and those permitted by Carol Wyatt (for the agreed times) are permitted onsite for Remote Learning and supervision.
  • If you are unwell, stay home and get tested.
  • If you are eligible and willing, get vaccinated.
  • Practise good hygiene, wear a face mask and socially distance.

This year we have had some ‘near misses’ that have been a constant reminder that this virus is ever present;  moreover, that we do not want our community and loved ones exposed.

I am sharing this with you as a teacher of children, workplace manager of staff, and a member of my own family.  Please take your personal responsibility to our community seriously.  If you, or your child can stay home, please do so.

Fun Friyay – Science!

Tomorrow, Friyay 27th August our whole school will engage in a Science themed Fun Friyay!  Please refer to Amy Prior’s Assistant Principal page for more information.  NB: Students may still have their additional support or extension lessons as scheduled by staff.

With the current COVID-19 data leading to an assumption that Remote Learning will continue beyond Thursday 2nd September, we have shuffled our Friyay Fundays with this week’s original theme ‘Mindfulness’ now rescheduled to next Friyay 3rd September.
