Good Move

The Holy Family Chess Club has been in action again this year, run by Miss J-M every Friday snack time. The club is open to Year 4-6 students interested in chess, whether they be complete beginners or seasoned players.

This term, the Chess Club members have been taught chess notation. This is a notation system that represents the moves in a chess game. Players can now "save" games to finish later, replay or analyse games to learn even more! They have been recording their games in their notebooks.

Can you work out what this board would look like?

1. e4            e5

2. Ng3         Nc6

3. d4           d5
