Primary News

Deputy Desk with Mrs Honeyman

It was lovely to see so many parents at our Parent Information Sessions in Week 3.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child, please contact your child's teacher by email provided in the class newsletter or by contacting the Front Office.

All students from K-6 will continue this year to participate in weekly 'Bounce Back' lessons in class.  These lessons teach children strategies to help them cope with a range of issues and also helps build their resilience.  Please see the Family Information flyer for more information.

CLUB 200

CLUB 200 is a home reading program which encourages students to read daily at home. All students have been given a 'Club 25' sheet to take home this week.  Each day your child reads at home, parents/caregivers sign the sheet.  When your child has achieved 100 signatures they have the opportunity to attend a morning tea with Mrs Barrett.  When they have 200 signatures, your child will receive a book of their choice at Assembly.  Happy reading!!

1/2 Blue with Miss Midson

The 1/2 Blue students have had a fantastic start to their learning journeys this year. They are settling well into school and classroom routines and have developed mature classroom rules to follow. Our class is fortunate to have Miss Maddison Caughlan working with Miss Eryn Midson for three weeks as a preservice teacher. Miss Caughlan is currently studying to become a teacher at CSU. We are sure she will enjoy her time here at Molong Central School.

3/4 White with Mrs Quinn

As part of 3/4 White's Personal Development and Health the students have been exploring the concept of "Identity". The photographs show the students working in small discussion groups to identify factors that contribute to our Identity.

Orange Regional Conservatorium Visit

On Thursday 10th February, Stage 2 and 3 were lucky enough to be visited by some musicians from the Orange Regional Conservatorium. The musicians visited us to demonstrate brass, percussion and woodwind instruments, showing Students the instruments they can learn themselves if they choose to participate in the band program. Students thoroughly appreciated the performance, asking many interesting questions. Mrs Logan and the ORC look forward to seeing some fresh and familiar faces in-band soon!
