Mordialloc College ICAS Success
Towards the end of remote learning in 2021, Mordialloc College SEAL students competed against students around the nation in national ICAS competitions. Students from Years 7 to 10 completed the digital assessments in the areas of Science, Digital Technologies, Mathematics and English.
Awarded to our most outstanding student per assessment category are the Principal’s Awards. Our 2021 recipients are as follows:
Science – Jun Muta (Year 9, 2021)
Digital Technologies – Jake Hickey (Year 9, 2021)
Placing in the 99th percentile nationally, Jake Hickey has also been awarded a medal for his incredible achievement in the digital technologies assessment. Well done Jake!
Mathematics – Tallain Connell (Year 7, 2021)
English – Kirili Armstrong-Sheath (Year 7, 2021)
In Science, Mordialloc College received 1 High Distinction, 7 Distinction, 7 Credit, 10 Merit and 8 Participation awards.
In Digital Technologies, Mordialloc College received 3 High Distinction, 5 Distinction, 8 Credit, 3 Merit and 9 Participation awards.
In Mathematics, Mordialloc College received 7 Distinction, 15 Credit, 9 Merit and 26 Participation awards.
In English, Mordialloc College received 9 Distinction, 11 Credit, 6 Merit and 22 Participation awards.
Understanding the results:
High Distinction – The top 1% of participants
Distinction – The next 10% of participants
Credit – The next 25% of participants
Merit – The next 10% of participants
