Performing Arts

Mackellar Primary School is proud to provide a Performing Arts Program in Semester 1. The program offers our students across all year levels inspiring, enriching and engaging opportunities to express themselves creatively in drama and music.

All students from P-6 participate in weekly PA sessions in the Performing Arts Room. The room provides a flexible workspace for students to work comfortably in group and whole class activities. The Performing Arts sessions are conducted in Italian and English. This term our element in Performing Arts is Drama and the students are learning to create a performance using costumes and props as a focus. 

Students are encouraged to perform as often as possible in front of the class to build their confidence and a feeling of achievement and success.
