Thank you all for your continued support of the library this year.

 

Despite the fractured nature of 2021 you still managed to borrow more than 2500 items. 

 

Congratulations to Year 2/3 who were the top borrowers.

 

Many new titles will be available next year once processed. So many thanks to parent and book coverer extraordinaire Tania (Berk's Mum 4/5/6) for her tireless work and to Lucy Neville for shelving duties.      

 

Many thanks to this years library leaders Jaiden, Lucy and Esther who helped keep the library in working order and were perhaps not surprisingly the top borrowers from 4/5/6.

I look forward to working with the new library leaders next year and introducing them to the dubious pleasures of shelving amongst other duties.

 

Thanks also to parent Deidre Newman and teacher Lexi O'Brien for their work on the library sub-committee. Their creativity, ideas and encouragement made a big difference.

 

With Lexi's help I have changed the layout of the library (pictured) with an aim to make it more interesting and provoke curiosity in young minds.

 

And finally a huge thank you to Newlands PFA for organising and co-ordinating the annual Readathon. Through their efforts and the generosity of friends and families of the 55 children who participated and read more than 1100 titles, $6500 was raised for the library.

Book Club: Scholastic has informed us that their carrier Toll are unable to deliver outstanding orders before the end of term.  Delivery will now be Term 1 2022. Apologies for the inconvenience.
