Christian Service Assembly

Due to various circumstances, we held a combined Christian Service and NAIDOC Assembly on Tuesday. At this Assembly, two Year 12 students shared one of their many experiences when participating in their Christian Service Senior Project.

Christian Marchesani spoke about the impact that spending time with Aboriginal communities had on students, who were privileged to be part of the Kimberley Immersion, while Liam Squire-Welsh shared the work he did with homeless people in need, in the local community.

All students who received an Award have taken the time to put themselves in situations where the needs of others are put first. They have participated in one or more activities such as the Kimberley Immersion, Edmund Rice Camps, Red Cross Soup Patrol or the Winter Sleepout. They have helped out at local primary schools, education support schools or aged care centres. They have been leaders on Year 7 Camp and Year 8 Quest Retreat, volunteered with service organizations or in their local parish and always been prepared to assist in school functions and activities.
