As is normally the case in a large school such as Trinity College, we will see a number of staff changes at the end of this busy semester. A number of College staff will be enjoying some extended leave commencing in Term 3 and we wish those staff taking leave a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful break:

  • Mr Rod Rainer - Head of H & PE, Long Service Leave Terms 3 & 4

Several staff members will be leaving our College at the end of Term 2. We thank the following staff for their wonderful work and generous service. We wish them well and God’s blessings for the future:

  • Miss Ruby Lango - Marketing and Communications Officer
  • Mr Brett Lund - Property and Maintenance
  • Mrs Kim Rees - Uniform Shop Assistant
  • Ms Jamee Starcevich - Aboriginal Teacher Assistant
  • Mrs Kylie Stidwell - Administrative Assistant

We take this opportunity to welcome a number of new Staff members who will be commencing at our College at the start of Term 3:

  • Mr Gareth de Klerk - Mathematics

  • Ms Lisa Krogh - Performing Arts Administrative Assistant
  • Miss Bree Villella - Religious Education, who will continue with us next semester

We also welcome back Mrs Judy Dawson (Religious Education) and Mr Bernard Le Tessier (Assistant Head of Junior School) who are returning from extended leave.

May I take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and their families for their extraordinary efforts, resilience, understanding and support during this long and most unusual first Semester. After navigating changing COVID restrictions and a rolling pattern of absences due to illness, we look forward to a holiday break prior to returning for a busy and important Semester 2.

I hope that everyone is able to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday break.

Mr Darren O’Neill

Principal

Public Ball Viewing

Thursday, 7 July 2022 6-8pm

We invite the Trinity College community to join us on the evening of Thursday, 7 July to view a sneak peek of the Year 12 A Whole New World Ball. Year 12 parents and guardians have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this to life.

A gold coin donation on arrival will go towards the Blue Tree Project, an organisation that is close to our Year 12s hearts. As we want to ensure the reveal is not spoiled for our Year 12s, no phones or cameras are to be used in the viewing.

And finally, strictly no Year 12s are allowed to attend the viewing (including their partner).

Gabrielle Murphy

Ball Coordinator

Trinity Family Business Directory

Do you have a business that you would like to promote in our Trinity Family Business Directory?

In good news, we are happy to announce we are re-launching our Trinity Family Business Directory on our website in a new user-friendly web format.

Initially launched in 2020 to help support families with small business during COVID, we have now decided to make this a permanent College initiative for our current families.

If you would like your business to be included on the new directory, please complete the form by following the link below. This is open to current Trinity College families only.

Please note: The existing document on our website will be removed and businesses on this document will not be automatically transferred to the new registry. A new form must be completed.

TC Parent Council - EOI

There will be a number of vacancies to fill on the Trinity College Parent Council (TCPC) in the coming months when some members finish their tenures, so the College is calling for expressions of interest from parents willing to be involved. Any parent who is interested is asked to submit a very brief nomination, telling the TCPC a little bit about yourself, why you are interested in being involved, and any skills, talents or ideas you could bring to the TCPC.

The TCPC enables parents of current students to engage in and support College activities with the view of enhancing the community experience at the College. They achieve this by providing support and advice to the College Leadership Team in relation to areas of parental support. Additionally, the TCPC in collaboration with the College help manage social events for the College community, including the annual Parent Ball. More information on the roles and activities of parent groups can be found here.

Please email your expression of interest to tcparentcouncil@gmail.com by Thursday, 28 July. We hope to welcome our new members at the next TCPC meeting on Tuesday, 16 August. Parents who submitted an expression of interest earlier in the year will be contacted directly to discuss the opportunity to join the TCPC.

Many thanks to the departing TCPC members who have made a substantial contribution to the Parent Council during their membership.
