Twilight Market Committee

The Twilight Market committee have delegated roles within the committee, provided a business plan to Ms Harris which has been approved and are tracking along.  On the school holidays we will begin contacting food trucks, begin looking over the stallholder applications and creating a plan for donation collection via the SRC in Term 3.

If you can assist the SRC Twilight Market Committee in the following areas, please let us know as soon as possible:

  • ADVERTISING - The committee is also searching for advertising sites for the advertising boards generously provided and installed by our community partner, Nelson Alexander Brunswick.  Ideally, these boards should be located on main roads or high traffic areas, and are displayed for in the four to six weeks leading up to the event date of October 7 2022.  If you  wish to support the Twilight Market, live in the Brunswick/Coburg area, and believe your property may be suitable for this purpose,   we invite you to email  twilight@brunswick.vic.edu.au to let us know that you would be happy to display a board for us. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
  • DONATIONS - The committee plans to include a Silent Auction event at the market, and are seeking donations of goods and/or services to include in the auction. If you would like to help by supplying a donation, please email members via twilight@brunswick.vic.edu.au so that we can discuss this further - as well as say a BIG "thank you!"
  • STALL HOLDERS  - We invite stallholders to register their interest as soon as possible, because spaces at the market are limited.  To register, simply complete the Expression of Interest online form, and the committee will respond to your application as soon as possible.

Events Committee

The Events Committee planned and organised a Student Leadership session which was held last week. It was a terrific afternoon filled with very effective planning and great team bonding activities.

Sustainability x Stem Committee

The Sustainability Committee and STEM Committee have finalised all the details for the video, they have gotten everyone involved to sign a legal document and are awaiting its premiere. They have also been brainstorming ideas for a Humanities video and are doing work on the upcoming Victorian Coding Challenge, encouraging students to become involved and to investigate opportunities to extend their interests.

House Committee and Student Agency Committee

These two committees have recently collaborated to produce the MasterChef competitions which were such a great success. They received over 40 applications and had to filter through them all.   Students who participated were rewarded with House Points - and these all go toward the end of year House score.

See the article about the Junior MasterChef Competition in this edition; it was a fabulous day!
