Year 7 Tech
The Dairy Industry - Butter Making and Cheese Tasting
In Tech Class 3, we had a lot of fun doing cheese tasting on Thursday. We had the chance to taste both cheese and fruits. These cheeses included blue cheese, vintage cheddar, Maasdam cheese, brie and red Leicester cheese. This was an amazing experience and we tasted lots of new flavours, it was like a free recess!
Marcus Ng – Year 7 Tech
This week Year 7 Tech made butter with whisks and fresh cream. The class whisked until the butter was ready and put their creation on a fresh piece of bread.
Hugo Moran – Year 7 Tech
Last week in Technology we made butter this was extremely fun. It took us almost the whole lesson to mix the cream into the butter but most of us managed to be able to do it. Some of the students brought in butter so that we could have it with toast and the butter tasted extremely good. But overall the lesson was fun and I bet that most of the students would like to do it again even though it was tiring.
