Dear St Francis Xavier Families,
I am one of the fortunate people who had the privilege of teaching Zoe Brookes, a remarkable young lady with the most wonderful combination of gentleness, kindness and determination.
Zoe took learning very seriously but every now and again would make an astute but comical observation that really appealed to my sense of humor.
When she was in my class, the children were set a project that involved researching family history and I distinctly recall Zoe chatting with me about the achievements of her relatives past and present. I was touched by her sincerity, pride and love of family.
Zoe will be remembered for her many wonderful attributes including the great example she set to others by the way she conducted herself and contributed to our community.
Tony, Bernie, Austin and Reece, our love and prayers go out to you, may the memories of your beautiful Zoe and the Lord’s blessings bring you comfort.
“There are those who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.”
FIRST COMMUNION
Congratulations to Lexi, Mariana, Grace Amelia, Gabriel, Eric, Jack and Max on receiving the Sacrament of First Communion. We were delighted that the children were able to receive Eucharist as part of the Parish mass, something we have not been able to do for a couple of years. It was a beautiful, joyous celebration which coincided with Pentecost Sunday. My thanks to Mr Brendan and Miss Vanessa for their commitment to preparing the candidates and to Fr Chinua for supporting the children, particularly through his Eucharist lesson and his expertise in helping them make the connections to our Catholic history and traditions.
FINAL WEEK FOR FOOD DONATIONS TO COMMUNITY SUPPORT FRANKSTON
Thank you so much for your donations to Community Support Frankston. Our drive concludes next Thursday. We would be grateful for any further non perishable food items you are able to contribute.
May the Lord bless you, keep you, turn his face towards you and give you peace.
