VTAC – Applying and SEAS info sessions

Students, parents, carers and supporters are warmly welcome to book in for VTAC's information webinars.

There will be two types of presentation on offer:

  • Applying for courses in 2023: provides an overview of the entire application process, including researching courses, creating a VTAC account, preferences, results and offers. It also includes an overview of SEAS and scholarships.
  • Understanding special consideration (SEAS) and scholarships: provides detailed information about applying for SEAS and scholarships.

In addition, there will be a dedicated interstate student session on 28 July, and a webinar in conjunction with the CEAV on 10 August as listed below.

More information will be provided on the VTAC website shortly, and additional sessions can be scheduled if these book out.

Open Days It’s crucial you participate in open days if you would like to study at TAFE or university in the future. Please start your planning now as you will need to register for the event and there may be limited places for on campus events to deal with COVID-related requirements.

ACU: Four new Commerce degrees from 2023 and double degree Criminology and Law

ANU: Direct application closed in May, but students can still apply through UAC. Also, aspiring Medicine students may like to consider that the Bachelor of Health Science and the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) in Science as these have allocated places for students within them to receive an offer to the MChD at the end of their second year, without sitting the GAMSAT.

Federation University: The  Bachelor of Nursing / Bachelor of Midwifery program is now being offered at our Gippsland and Ballarat campuses. This 4-year combined degree is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and will be delivered via our flexible delivery mode. Flexible delivery combines online study modules with intensive blocks of on-campus clinical training each semester. These blocks will give students the opportunity to work hands-on in our Nursing and Midwifery labs to consolidate their learning.

Applications for the Early Offer Program are open now, and it’s a great idea for students to submit their application as early as possible. Further information and application details here

Monash: There are 20 high achiever grants valued at $3000 each for commencing Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics students. This one-off scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement. Find out more.

SEAS and Monash Guarantee Scheme Brochure 

New resource Your Essential Guide to Monash Science which now includes a specific section for students who may be considering a pathway to Graduate Entry Medicine through a Bachelor of Science.

Students considering Medicine at Monash need to sit the UCAT by 12 August, preference a Monash medicine course by 30 September in VTAC (and keep one medicine preference in your preferences throughout the application and COP periods). More info Monash Rural Health or Monash Medicine 2022.

Swinburne: Have partnered with Deloitte to provide the Cyber Academy an awesome new program which sees you employed by Deloitte, getting paid during your degree and graduating as a cyber security specialist with industry experience. Students | Deloitte Australia | Cyber Academy

University of Adelaide: Year 11 Entry Pathway for students graduating from Year 12 will continue in 2022 for University entry in 2023. To learn more visit: ua.edu.au/yr11-entry-pathway

UNSW: Students planning to apply for undergraduate law courses at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) will need to sit the LAT. Registrations for the test close Friday 12 August. 

The UNSW Co-op Scholarship program is now open for high achieving students who plan to study in 2023 at UNSW. The scholarships are worth almost $20,000 per year, www.coop.unsw.edu.au

UTS: Bachelor of IT Cooperative Scholarship Program is values at $49500 + 2 internships for a motivated and capable student. Applications for 2023 close 4 September. More details.

Victorian University: Reminder to students considering Nursing at VU that you are required to complete the CASPer.
