Hello from the Alumni Program

Alumni means someone who attended your school, whether it be Northern Bay College, or one of our foundation schools (Norlane High, Flinders Peak, Corio Tech and Corio Snr). And while we reach out to our past students we have found a huge and diverse range of friendly Alumni, who are keen to share their story and their experiences after they left school. Some have done very well in the corporate world, and others have built a career around giving back.

Hopefully you have seen our social media of Alumni stories around the place, and next term you might see more Alumni coming back to offer their expertise and knowledge in specific subjects or classes.

Year 9 Careers Week

Earlier this term we bought in 4 Alumni, for a Q+A panel, as a part of Year 9 Careers Week.

Our panel included two university grads, and two in work-related pathways. These Alumni spanned the industries of Health, Commerce, the Food Industry and Real Estate.

The panel members themselves were friendly, relatable, and honest about their experiences. They also enjoyed being back at school, giving back while sharing their stories.

The sessions were fantastic. Thanks to the students, who were well engaged and asked questions of our panel members. And thank you to Mr. Baynard for the opportunity.

Who would you like to see?

We are very open to suggestions, if there is a particular career or profession you would like to know more about? Maybe a mentor in a chosen field is something you would really enjoy.
