Welcome

Hello P-2 families, 

What a busy month we have had at NBC. Starting with Education Week and the P-2 Expos at all campuses. It was great to see so many faces attend our Learning Spaces and be introduced to Developmental Curriculum - in particular Investigations. We hope you enjoyed seeing your children learning and extending their problem solving skills. 

VCOP

On Friday May 20, all teachers attended a Writing Professional Learning. Classrooms will start to display visuals from this learning, so you may hear your children using words such as: Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation more regularly.

1/2 Excursion

During the past few weeks the 1/2 students attended an excursion to Bounce where they focused on the element of exercise for their health. Students have been learning skills to keep themselves safe and healthy over the term and their excursion was a great way for them to finish this topic. 

Gaga Pit

Over the term all campuses have had a Gaga Pit constructed in their yards. It has proven to be a popular area where many students have participated or watched many games played. Make sure you ask your child/children what this game is and the instructions. This is a great way to practise their skills in retaining information and explaining steps.

School holidays are not too far away, all P-2 staff wish you a very safe and relaxing break.
