Sharing Student Learning.

We are very proud of all of the wonderful learning that has been evident in our school throughout the first semester. Throughout the year we continue to provide a comprehensive snapshot of your child's learning through a variety of platforms, including a formal report, learning conversations and Seesaw learning pieces. Through these platforms we celebrate and reflect on the learning strengths and areas of needs for your child. This will be done through the following modes of reporting.

  1. Formal report - These will be sent home on Wednesday 22nd June. This will include an overview of your child’s academic achievement in the different curriculum areas, as well as feedback about their social, emotional and critical thinking skills. It will also include comments from their class teachers that will help parents to support their child’s learning at home.
  2. Learning conferences - To better cater to all of our families, you will be given the option to attend these either face to face or online via a Google Meet. It is an opportunity for teachers and parents to have a short 20 minute conversation about your child’s academic progress, focus areas for the future and any questions or observations parents may wish to discuss. In the last 5 minutes of these conversations students will be invited in to discuss their learning and set a goal for Term 3. Our Learning Conferences will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday 22nd of June.

Through the above reporting modes and additionally, through parent meetings, emails, phone conversations and incidental feedback we strive to ensure that parents gain an in-depth understanding of the progress and growth that your child has achieved throughout Semester 1.

A note will be shared this week with instructions on how to book a time for your learning conference. We ask that all parents please log on and book a time or arrange another time with their classroom teacher. Parents who attend a PSG meeting do not need to book a time.

We will be sharing your child’s report electronically via email. It is most important that you ensure the admin team has your current email.  Due to individual family situations a second copy of the report may be deemed necessary. If this pertains to your current family situation you will need to share the additional email with the school office.
