Together we Thrive
Tax Time Letter from the Principal and Thrive Fund Chair
Dear Parents and Carers,
Each year in June we write to you, our families, to ask you to consider donating to our Thrive Fund.
Donations to the Thrive Fund support Northcote High students in three different ways. They allow us to fund innovative programs (INNOVATE), improve school spaces and resources (INSPIRE / BUILD) and to provide our students, including those in need, with opportunities that would not otherwise be possible (EMPOWER).
Many of us are still feeling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that challenged us, socially, emotionally and financially in 2020 and 2021, and we understand that many of you may not be in the position to make a donation this year. That is fine. However, we have also been overwhelmed again by the number of families who have been able to generously make a donation this year. Thus far (YTD May), we have already received a total of $133,000 in donations to the Thrive Fund.
Given this, we wanted to write to families for two reasons:
Also, we didn’t want to waste an opportunity to say thank you and to let you know about some of the great stuff that the Thrive Fund has been up to lately…
As many of you know, we are well underway with the planning of our 3 storey STEM Building as Stage 1 of our Masterplan. Contributions to the Build Fund can support adding features that increase the scope and quality of the new facilities.
Further information on each of the Thrive Funds and how to donate can be found on following pages. Please remember, we welcome any donation, large or small, that you are able to make to our school.
Thank you again for your ongoing support,
Chris Jones Liza Grage-Perry
