New - Sacramental Program
Many of our students will make the sacraments of reconciliation, confirmation and communion on Sunday 19th June.
Thank you to Mel Shiels for coordinating the program, Sr Pam for her support and to Danae Napier for being our school liaison and support. We continue to pray for all candidates and their families during this time as they prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist & Confirmation. It is such a special time on their faith journey.
Each pastoral group has received a prayer card to sit on their prayer table to remind them to pray for our sacramental children every day.
Please join us to celebrate our Sacramental Masses on the weekend of June 18th at 4.30 pm & 19th at 11.30 am & 2.30 pm at St. Mel's Christ the King Church.

New - Feast of St Anthony ~ June 13th
La festa di Sant Antonio is a traditional St Mel's celebration that is held at the time of his patronage day June 13. The parish usually holds a significant event to commemorate St Anthony’s Feast Day. Please take the time to say a prayer on June 13th in memory of St Anthony.
New - Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass
Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass ~ Friday 24th June ~ 9.30 am
Traditionally, known as our ‘Giving Mass’, when we bring forward our donations.
This year we will be having a whole school mass at 9:30am in our St. Mel's church ~ with our parishioners ~ families are more than welcome to attend.
New - Pentecost Sunday
On Sunday we celebrated Pentecost Sunday ~ the birthday of the Church!
The Church celebrates the Feast of Pentecost fifty days after Easter Sunday. Pentecost Sunday ends the season of Easter.
In Scripture we read that the disciples were gathered together “And they were all filled with the holy Spirit.” (Acts of the Apostles, 2:4)
The Holy Spirit filled the disciples with courage and faith, empowering them to share the Good News with others.
Our Catholic Education theme this year is 'Tell the Good News'. How do we share the good news with others?
Here are some of our children's prayer journaling on the story of Pentecost.
New - Joyful June
Who would like to join our staff & students in making June as Joyful as possible?
Here is a calendar from Action for Happiness for some joyful ideas in June you might like to follow.
Some Joyful Quotes ~
‘Nothing without Joy’ ~ Malaguzzi
‘Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full’ John 6:24
The JOY that you have freely received from God, please, freely give it away: so many people are waiting for it. So many are waiting for it from you! Pope Francis
