Celebrating 30 Years

In the iconic Australian rural hamlet of Childers in Queensland, Phil Dowling (Aka ‘the big rig’) is as much of an icon as the office of FN Childers

Bob Kerr founded the office in 1993, then Phil took over in 1996 and the whole team has just celebrated its 30th anniversary of First National membership.

Congratulations Phil.

Thanks for flying the blue and white flag and here’s to your continued success.

Checking Out Kuala Lumpur

Not content to wait until next year’s Convention, Steve Hill of FN Hollett & Lawrence (Northam, WA) was spotted checking out Kuala Lumpur with a selfie at the famous Petronas Towers.

These famous twin-towers stand 1,483 feet high and were the world’s tallest buildings until surpassed by Taiwan’s ‘Taipei 101’ in 2004.

Nice shot, Steve!

Reflecting on Milestones & Accomplishments

FN Karratha (WA) took a moment to reflect on the past financial year’s growth and successes in a Facebook post recently.

In property management, over 227,463 receipts were processed and 2,250 maintenance work orders completed. On the communication front, 24,382 emails and 840 text messages were sent. 368 leases were renewed, attesting to the quality of relationships between landlords and tenants. Some 1,608 inspections were completed and the sales team sold 64 properties valued at $31.6 million.

What a year! Congratulations to everybody at FN Karratha.

17 Years in Maitland

FN Maitland (NSW) has congratulated property management and administration guru, Jade Tweedie, on her 17 years of service to the agency. Alexandra Haggarty said ‘she is the sprinkles to my fairy bread, the “she” to my “nanigans”, the caffeine to my coffee, the who-ha to my do-dah. Here’s to the next 17 years of annoying you. It wouldn’t be the same without ya. Love you to bits.’

The Barbenheimer effect

With the internet phenomenon circulating on social media following the release of two blockbuster films, Barbie and Oppenheimer, it was inevitable that we’d see some real estate memes follow.

Salesperson Lisa Jensen of FN Action Realty Ipswich (Qld) posted this great Reel with principal, Glenn Ball. We also spotted Glenn out with another icon, nearly as old as Barbie – his beloved Holden GTS, manufactured in 1969.

Another ‘Bucket-List’ Item Checked

Mitch Halpin of FN Broken Hill (NSW) wasted no time fitting in adventure activities while in Cromwell at our Rural & Regional Muster, the most important of which was seeing snow falling for the first time in his life! It’s not a regular feature of life in Broken Hill.

Two First National Experts to Address Conference

A huge benefit of FN membership is the regular complimentary access to the industry’s leading property management trainers.

The October IGT 2023 Conference proves the point, with experts that are already well-known to our PMs like Darren Hunter, Deniz Yusef, Julie Collins and Brad Filliponi.

Amongst the expert panels and individual presentations will also be Melanie Poole of FN Daystar (Revesby, NSW) and Dorothy Hamilton of FN Property Solutions (Palm Beach, Qld).

House Shopping with the ‘Queen of Wynnum’

Former member and FN Advocate, Wayne Nicholson, spent a few hours looking at houses with the ‘Queen of Wynnum’, Kelly Isaacs of FN Wynnum Manly (Qld).

Wayne thanked Kelly for sharing her knowledge and hospitality, saying on Facebook ‘as usual, an FN member going above and beyond.’

Christmas in July

Two offices were spotted recently, celebrating Christmas in July – FN Chinchilla (Qld) and FN Mudgee (NSW). Do you know who played the Grinch?

Fantastic Few Days in Townsville

FN Bonnici & Associates (Wodonga, Beechworth & Thurgoona, Vic) principal, William Bonnici, dropped in to visit Terry Godde and the FN Townsville (Qld) team recently, while up north.

Together they watched the Cowboys beat the Eels, met 200-game Legend Jake Granville, took the obligatory photo with Jonathan Thurston statue, and even got to meet the ‘Terminator’ at the FN office. There was also a special moment with a Humpback whale and her new born calf!

Certificate 4 Achieved

A big congratulations to FN Westwood (Werribee, Vic) trainee, Mason Vella, on the attainment of his Certificate 4 in Real Estate Practice – from the Real Estate Academy Australia. Well done, Mason!

Huge Listing in Port Hedland’s Main Industrial Estate

A round of applause, please, for Helen Farrell of FN Hedland (Port Hedland, WA). She has secured 2 Manganese Street for an EOI sale in the main industrial estate servicing Australia’s largest bulk export port by tonnage.

Sited on the main thoroughfare through the Wedgefield Industrial area it’s a brilliant way to showcase FN Hedland’s market domination!
