NAPLAN 2023

Our 2023 NAPLAN Reports were sent home to our families earlier this week.

This year, new standards for NAPLAN reporting have been introduced. There are now 4 proficiency levels: Exceeding, Strong, Developing and Needs additional support.

More information on these proficiency levels can be found in the information sheet provided below.

We are so proud of our students for their achievements in NAPLAN this year.

A snapshot of our 2023 NAPLAN data:

  • Holy Spirit had a 100% attendance rate for both our Year 3 and 5 student cohorts. Every student sat every test - Reading, Writing, Numacy & Conventions of Language (Spelling & Grammar and Punctuation)
  • Reading and Numeracy are areas of strength for our Year 3 students
  • Reading is an area of strength for our Year 5 students, with many of our students given the 'Exceeding' NAPLAN score

NAPLAN tests are only one aspect of our school’s assessment and reporting process. As these assessments are held once every 2 years for each student, they cannot replace the extensive, ongoing assessments, made by our teachers, about our student performance and achievement.

Each student at Holy Spirit should be proud of their NAPLAN achievements this year just as we are. We are so proud of our Year 3 and 5 students and cannot wait to share some further infromation with our school community in the coming weeks.

More information about NAPLAN can be found: https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan/results-and-reports
