Education Week

Public education celebrating 175 years!

Last week, Peakhurst Public School proudly embraced Education Week and celebrated 175 years of public education by opening our classroom doors to friends and family. Laughter and curiosity filled the air as everyone engaged in a day of interactive learning where our visitors were able to experience first hand some of the fantastic opportunities and engaging activities that our students receive here at Peakhurst Public School.

The day's excitement culminated in a delightful picnic lunch, enjoyed in the sunshine with a coffee or a snack from the canteen. We want to say thank you to our cherished visitors for being a part of the memorable occasion and to our dedicated canteen staff, teaching staff and support staff for orchestrating a special day of education and connection.

The annual Book Fair was also held on this special day and was a great success, so thank you to all our families who either donated a book to the school or purchased from the Book Fair! The school was able to raise just over $8000 and received $1041.00 in books with another $1522.11 to spend throughout the year. The school also received $162.00 of books donated by families.
