This week in Writing, we are learning to write explanation texts about life cycles.
VOCABULARY
Explanation Text: a text to explain how something works.
Life Cycle: process of how animals grow up. See the example below for a frog.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Work with your child to write down facts that you know about life cycles. Pick an animal that you know about, for example a frog or kangaroo.
Write an explanation text using the following structure, to explain how the topic works. Use the structure below:
