PRAYER
Father in heaven,
all creation rightly gives you praise,
for all life and all holiness come from you.
In the plan of your wisdoms
he who bore the Christ in her womb
was raised body and soul in glory
to be with him in heaven.
May we follow her example in reflecting
your holiness and join in her hymn of endless
love and praise.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
From the Principal
Dear Families,
On Tuesday 8 August, all staff and students attended the parish Mass to celebrate the feast of St Mary MacKillop.
Next Tuesday, 15 August, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary. This feast commemorates the death of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her assumption, body and soul, into Heaven.
It is not just the celebration of these Feast Days that is important, but the inspiration and the learning that we can draw from them so that we may express forgiveness, compassion and hope to those we encounter. All parents and carers are invited to join us and the parish community for the Feast of the Assumption Mass at 9.00am.
Staff News
I am pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mrs Trish Trounson, our new Grade 5/6 teacher for Fridays. Trish has been with us for two weeks now and is enjoying getting to know the students.

GRANDPARENTS and SPECIAL PERSONS DAY
It was lovely to welcome Grandparents and Special People to our school. Together we enjoyed Assembly, activities in the classroom and shared morning tea. Thank you for attending and being an important part of our students lives.
PREP 100 DAYS
Monday July 31st marked 100 days of school for our prep children. Here are a few snapshots of the day.
UNEXPECTED VISITOR
We had a cute but unexpected furry visitor at school today. A Ringtail Possum had found its way into the Junior corridor and decided to spend the night. Volunteers from Wildlife Victoria came in and removed the possum, who will be released back into the area at dusk.
