Grade 1 and 2

Gymnastics

We have finished our fun and intensive five week gymnastics program at Eclipse Gym. Students have had the opportunity to stretch, balance, jump and fly through the air on the specialised equipment and with experienced and supportive teachers. Many thanks to the parent helpers who were available to support us at these sessions.

CBL - Diversity 

Students have enjoyed their travels around the Grade One and Two classrooms, learning about different areas of the world and the habitats that animals live in. They have carefully read information on animals, collaborated with others and collated these details into a Keynote presentation.

Our visit on Friday to the Melbourne Zoo gave us an opportunity to observe many of these animals. We  entered the 'Wild Lab' to learn from Zoo educators about how animals grow and change, their special features and how animals survive in their environments. 

Students successfully navigated their way around the zoo and adhered to a given timeline, supported by a wonderful team of parent volunteers.  We are very proud of our students and how they represented our school on such a busy and tiring day!

Book Week

The Book Week theme for 2023, is 'Read, Grow, Inspire' and our students loved dressing up as characters that inspire them to read. Our Grade One and Two students have spent the week reading the books nominated in the Early Childhood section and completing tasks associated with these.
