Kitchen Garden

Last Friday, 3/4H enjoyed some fun in the sun the afternoon.
The Kitchen Garden was a hive of activity.
Tasks included:
Finishing off and putting 2 scarecrows in place ready to begin their scaring duties!
Top dressing 2 garden beds with compost.
Planting a bed of broccoli.
Emptying one compost bin into another to make room for the never ending supply of classroom scraps.
Feeding the worms some leafy greens, newspaper and straw.
Shredding some green waste up and adding it to a compost bin.
Adding another layer of mulch to the garden paths in areas that were a bit thin.
