Year 8 Fusion

In our English lessons

As part of the Stage 4 English syllabus, Year 8 has been studying texts from Asia, specifically looking at Japanese literature, anime and manga.

Students have been working on developing their ability to identify, consider and appreciate cultural expression in Japanese texts. This term, students have studied a wide range of anime and manga and have particularly enjoyed creating their own manga characters. 

This week students were provided with a blank A3 paper and were required to create their own characters following the traditional manga characteristics. Check out the end results.
