REC News

Dear Parents and Carers,
Â
During our Professional Learning this week, staff have been deepening their knowledge and understanding of our Catholic Principles and Values and the ways these can be explicitly taught in all Key Learning Areas.Â
Â
Our Diocese implemented the Catholic Principles and Values in 2014 to support our learners to develop a richer understanding of what it means to be Catholic the values that underpin our identity as Catholics. Bishop Michael Kennedy stated the importance of all staff, students and parents being able to know, understand and articulate principles and values.Â
Â
We have four core Principles: Primacy of God, Sanctity of Life, Fidelity in Relationships and Common Good. Within the principles, we have underpinning values.Â
Â
Over the next few newsletters, I will be explaining each principle and its values for families to learn about.
Â
Yours in faith,
Â
