Weekly Wrap

By the Junior Journalists Team

As the days get shorter, we see a transition from our summer sports season to our winter sports season.

Congratulations to all the teams who are progressing through to the final rounds of their respective summer sporting competitions. We are sending you our luck. Who knows, we may even get a player interview with you on the sidelines!

In the Junior School, we will soon begin to prepare for our up-coming athletics carnival. We look forward to a day of competition, friendly rivalry and plenty of spirit on the last day of Term 1 at this highly anticipated sporting event.

We are also eager to have our writer in residence, Tim Harris, back in our classrooms over the next few weeks. We hope to be able to share some writing tips with you all soon!

Speaking of tips and the change in season, please read below our Top 5 Tips on how to keep warm this winter!

Feeling like Someone’s Turned the Freezer Down? Top 5 Tips on Keeping Warm this Winter.

We hear there are some new teachers around town who are feeling the chills already. The Junior Journalists have decided to help them out and provide some winter wisdom with our top 5 tips.

  1. It’s not about the money (@ Jessie J), it’s all about the layers. A singlet and double pair of socks never go astray.

  2. Ugg boots, ugg boots, ugg boots.

  3. Have a warm tea at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  4. Have the blankets ready to add to your bed making routine.

  5. Always have a spare umbrella in the boot of your car.
