PRODUCT DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

VCE PRODUCT DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

2021 has been a challenging year for all of our students, but even more so for those students studying in specialist design areas where they are required to not only design a product, but also make it.

As luck would have it, lockdowns hit at a crucial time. Students studying Product Design and Technology - Textiles and Wood needed access to specialist tools and equipment to make their projects and being deprived of this equipment really pushed out the timeline for completion.

However, our students persevered and proved they could rise above the obstacles COVID-19 thrust in their path. The students have produced outstanding work and the Textiles class will have their fashion designs showcased in the Summer edition of Mildura Living magazine.

EXCELLENCE IN DESIGN

Year 11 student Carla Seiler has had her Product Design and Technology-Textiles work shortlisted for Top Designs, part of VCAA’s coveted VCE Season of Excellence.

Top Designs is an annual exhibition at the Melbourne Museum and showcases the outstanding work of VCE students across Victoria. It is a mark of honour for any school to have its students acknowledged by being shortlisted from hundreds of applicants.

We congratulate Carla on this outstanding achievement.
